‘Where am I?’ Leeda was thoroughly confused.  She seemed to be floating.  Actually, she was floating.  Leeda was surrounded by white clouds.  She suddenly became aware of a red orb floating towards her.  ’Am I in heaven?’  The orb suddenly exploded and left a woman in its place.  She had red hair and an orange dress.  She was floating, and her wings resembled flames.  “Wh-who are you?” Leeda asked, a little uneasy, but still not afraid.  She felt strangely safe.

“I am Din, the Goddess of Power.”  As she spoke another orb appeared, this one green, and it exploded revealing another woman.  This woman had green hair and a grass colored dress.  She too was floating with wings resembling giant leaves.

“I am Farore, the Goddess of Courage.”  Then, a third, blue orb appeared to the right of Din.  It exploded as well, and a woman with blue hair appeared.  Her dress was sea foam green.  Her wings looked like waves.

“I am Nayru, the Goddess of Wisdom.”

“Why am I here?”

“Do you not remember what happened?” asked Din.

Leeda suddenly gasped.  “Am I dead?  I’m not even seventeen yet,” she said, holding back tears.

“Yes.  You did die,” Farore answered.

This time Nayru spoke.  “But, it is not your time yet.”

Leeda looked up at her and Nayru smiled.  “Are you going to send me back?”

“We wish it was that easy,” Din said, with a hint of remorse.  “How could we have let this happen, sisters?”

“Ralyn has always been jealous,” Nayru replied.

“So, how do we send her back?  She is destined to become the Heroine of Time and save Hyrule, she can’t die,” Din said.

“There is only one way to resurrect her,” Farore spoke for the first time in the conversation.

“Yes.  We must, sisters,” Nayru said.

“Are you sure it is safe to place the entire Triforce in the hands of a single family?” Farore asked her sisters.

“We must, Farore.  She cannot die.” Nayru replied.

“I’ll give her my Power,” Din replied.

“What’s going on?” Leeda asked, a little apprehensive.

“The only way for us to resurrect you is to bestow you with the power a goddess.  I have decided to give you my Power, so you’ll be stronger.”

“Really?” Leeda asked in awe.

The voices of the goddesses echoed in Leeda’s ears.  “Go back, It’s not your time, go back, go back…”

------------------------------------------

Leeda woke up with a huge, gasping breath, her eyes wide.  She realized her parents were holding her, crying.  Even Lan was at her feet, crying.  “Leeda?!  Leeda?!” Link cried.  She looked at him, still breathing in gasps.  “How?  I thought you were dead.”  Link said, still sobbing.

“I was,” Leeda said weakly.

“How…”

“The goddesses,” was all she said, as she fell back asleep.

---------------------------------------

When Leeda woke back up, she was back in her room.  She felt very weak.  Her left hand had a strange feeling in it.  Not pain, just a strange feeling.  Leeda smiled as she saw Link asleep at the foot of her bed.  “Dad?” she asked quietly.  He slowly opened his eyes.  When he saw her, he jumped up.

“Leeda!  Are you okay?” he asked, rushing to her side.

Leeda smiled.  “I will be.  I feel so weak and my hand feels funny.”

Link frowned.  “Your hand?”

“Yeah.  It doesn’t hurt, it just feels weird.”

Link looked her, puzzled.  “Let me see it.”  She extended her hand to him.  Link stared.  “Oh my god…”

“What?!” Leeda asked, a little panicked.  Then, a glowing Triforce appeared on her hand.  The whole thing glowed at first, but then shrunk until only the top triangle glowed.  Link put his hand next to his daughter’s.  They both resonated at being brought together.

“We need to go see Zelda,” said Link, astonished.

“But, I feel so weak…” Leeda groaned.

“I’ll bring her here.  Don’t go anywhere.”  Leeda scoffed.  ‘I can’t even move.  How am I going to go anywhere.’

Link returned with Zelda.  “What is so urgent, Link?  Leeda!  Are you okay?”

“I’m fine,” she replied.

“Come here,” Link told Zelda.  He put her hand next to Leeda’s.

“Wow, Link.  This is awesome,” she said, sarcastically.

“No, look!”  When he said that, Zelda’s hand began resonating.

“Link, it’s always done that.  When Courage is around Wisd-” she stopped when she realized Link was across the room.  “What?”   She looked down at Leeda’s resonating hand.  “Power…how?”

“The goddesses said it was the only way they could resurrect me.  They said I was indeed destined to be the Heroine of Time.”  As Leeda said this, she shot an ‘I told you so’ look at her dad.

He looked at her in pain.  “ I always knew.  I was just in denial.”  He sighed, and Leeda smiled at him.

“So…can I have it?” she looked at him hopefully.

“You’re not seventeen yet.”

“But, when I am…”

“I guess I have no choice.”  He couldn’t help but smile.  At least with Power, it would be even.

“Yes!!  Thanks, Dad.”
